Which song should I do my final on?

I'm thinking Roman Dog Bird, as you can write quite a bit about that song and the influence it had, how the band has been playing it live lately and how it has changed over the years through the different lineups. Hog Leg would be good to write about too, with the samples in the beginning and the fact that Beck sampled it later on Beercan, but I would think you could write more on Roman Bird Dog, which I indeed did vote for in this very important poll.
Hail, not fail.
PS:  fuck him.

Good to see you back, Bro. Skin Horse for me. Tough choice.

RBD.  plus you can use the Led Zep bit about the snare.
thrower of the bong water balloons

Captain CoryCory

RBD, hands down. It's definitely the most unique sounding name of the bunch.

Buick GN

6. Revulsion/We Reach

Skin horse for the lyrics!

Interesting results so far. I'm surprised by the number of RBD votes, but that song is easily my top 5... I was originally going to go with The Bloated Pope but I wanted some other insights so I picked the songs I would be most interested in writing about. Right now for me it's Skin Horse and RBD neck in neck. Some good insights. Thanks y'all. Keep voting I'll decide by the end of the weekend.

Edit- Even though Buick cleared the crack smoke long enough to write in, I as a matter of fact considered Revulsion/We Reach but imo We Reach is the only thing worth talking about with that selection and it's not strong enough to write about. So thanks but no thanks. I picked those 5 for a reason. If your answer isn't one of the 5 keep it to yourself. Thanks!

are you gonna analyze the lyrics? or just go off the song it self or what?

personally for me, skin horse is in a league of it's own as far as those songs go. so that's my vote.

Not much analyzing the lyrics, a bit but it's more about the song it's self. So yeah the lyrics are a part of it but also sound, rhythm, structure etc. That's why I'm kinda leaning more towards Skin Horse because there's a lot of stuff to talk about with that song. That's also why I'm drawn to If I Had An Exorcism too but since I can't decide I figure I'd let you guys decide. All 5 choices are songs that have enough going on to write about 5/6 pages worth.

Any paper about "Roman Bird Dog" must also include discussion of "Hung Bunny." You could write about how they presaged, if not directly inspired, doom metal as we know it.
Can you all shut your damn cocks for one second? Music is the only thing that's real in this queef world of dildo ass chodes.

Exactly. Which is why I'm kinda on the fence about RBD. We have to play sections of the song as well and we have only 5 minutes for the presentation part and I don't think I could do those songs any justice in 5 minutes. Whereas the other songs are much shorter and I could probably get away with playing the whole song while talking about it too. I was thinking Skin Horse is short enough to play and also has plenty of points of discussion too, same with If I Had An Exorcism and The Bloated Pope. I love RBD but I completely agree that Hung Bunny would have to be talked about too and those songs are to important to me to have to rush through the details.

Voted for Hog Leg, it's absolutely off the wall – lots to talk about with all the dissonant notes, feedback, screaming, and other craziness.

Yup! Excellent choice and all the reasons why I had it as an option.

This has turned out pretty good so far. Lot's of good feedback!

A little late here. I vote for Hog Leg. That song is batshit insane.

Whatever you chose, I'd like to read it when you're finished!
