I'll be in Toronto around 3pm. Gonna go to Dangerous Dan's across from the Opera House for a burger before. I should be the first in line at the doors.

That makes so much sense with the fuzzy bass he used to do back in the '80s.  Hope I get to see that in Seattle!

Great show ... rolled in as Melt Banana were on ... good set from what I saw, seen 'em a bunch of times already in the past but not a diehard fan and didn't know they were only a duo now; but it was a neat approach ... and Agata is always a joy to watch play and manipulate his guitar and rig.

Melvins were great ... love McDonald on bass, total "Rock 'n Roll" ... like KISS full on frenching with Cheap Trick in the back of a just hot boxed yellow Camero! All whipping hair, hammy faces, flash bass poses, and finger randomly pointing out to some far off mystical horizon or beach ball dancing across the crowd's outstretched hands. Not to mention his all over that bassness ... great playing, all over that neck runs and bends ... solid rock but not just underpinning the guitar lines and keeping the drums ... really reminds me of 70s bassists like Geezer and the like ... not super into Redd Kross, I know their shit fairly well tho; and have always been a fan of there earliest HC output ... and always really loved McDonald's playing on Redd Blood Cells bootleg ... that's what his playing with the Melvins reminded me of; same approach and style ... he was great.

Show itself was also equally as great ... Buzz and Dale were awesome as always; and I love Melvins most as trio so there was that ... didn't know set list before hand so there were some nice surprises, especially With Your Heart>Leech! That was more than fantastic ... it was super fantastic! Haven't heard them pull out that one two since 2x4 tour. Another gems were Bloated Pope and June Bug! All the "Rawk" (Duece, National Hamster, etc.) were totally in their element with that McDonaldness going on all over 'em ... Decay Of Lying was absolutely huge and swinging ... sounded hot shit live brothers & sisters!! It was a real highlight. Embury on second bass for Night Goat was sweet and lots of other greats were dumped all over us ... great show!

Napalm were also great ... can't believe after all these years I've never seen 'em ... hell, I bought SCUM when it first came out. But while they are in the orbit of stuff I dig I never really actively followed them outta the 80s ... surprisingly I recognized quite a bit of the set ... they played great, sounded great, and put on a great set; friend I went w/ is a big fan and has seen them numerous times and agreed ... Ill go see 'em again for sure. Seemed like a Melvins crowd tho ... numbers thinned after their set and what was left didn't seem to have the hair, leather, crustiness, or batshit brutality I expected from a Napalm crowd, friend I went w/ is a fan and has saw them numerous times and certainly agreed.

I saw your head bobbing 'round up at the front few feet ahead of me there Flutter, sorry I wasn't able to say high and shoot the shit a bit ... glad ya had a great show

For my Melvins old school, nostalgia, return to my youth and feel like a teenager again bass, I love Matt and Lorax.

For my Melvins upright bass and fun guy to talk about KISS and Gene Simmons, I love Trevor.

For my Melvins redneck southern-fried LSD drenched bass, I love Pinkus.

I wish that I could create a frankenstein monster of all of them!!!
