Godflesh

It was looking good until the day came. And then went down the drain. It's how most of the potential good gig nights have gone for the last 7 years.

I'm excited to see this film tonight. I know absolutely nothing about it (trying to avoid any spoilers). I hope it delivers!

Olympia showing was great. Really enjoyed the film,  my first show was my senior year of high school in 05 when they played Olympia with jello and I've seen a show every year since, it was awesome seeing the film and going back through all the years that I've been a part of.  Really enjoyed the merchandise portion. Working in the printing industry, it was cool seeing they touch everything they put out. Great work, and we'll cya at the next show.

Finally got to see this fantastic movie, and squoze in a little hang time with Idle and GiveMe45 beforehand to boot. (Great to see you as always to the former, pleasure to meet you to the latter!)

The movie is so good, I was really impressed. Most of all in the way that it really is made in the spirit of and captures the soul of the band. It's lo-fi (in a good way mostly) and a little rough around the edges (in a good way mostly) and thoroughly entertaining. Like a Melvins record. That's a real tribute to Ryan and Bob, they made a movie that in it's own strange way feels like something that the Melvins made. And that's a special thing. I can't wait to see it again, no shit. There's so much gold in there, and it's just absolutely packed to the gills with content, it's going to take repeat viewings to really take it all in. It's also fucking hilarious, a lot of great humor comes through.

This has been a weird, fucked up week and getting to sit in a cool old theater on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a bunch of people with great taste in music watching a beautiful tribute to the greatest band on this green earth restored my faith in humanity, just a little. Thanks for that fellas.

A rare anorexorcist posting appears!

:D

The movie was excellent! I really enjoyed it. Too many cool things to list. Well done! My only complaint is that I've only seen it once.
