Okay, im gonna give a before and after comment here. I hate Christmas and especially Christmas songs but i (mostly) like Melvins so im unsure how i will feel about this one. If it's in the ballpark of 'Take Me Out To The Ball Game' or something it'll be one of the worst Melvins songs yet. But if it's a spooky awesome cover like 'Dies Irae' i'll love it! Right, let's listen!

....ah that wasn't too bad actually. Better than i expected anyway. Seems like the kind of thing that would be the lead-in into a heavy tune or something on a regular Melvins album. I wonder who's on bass? For some reason i imagine the BB boys are on this.

It reminds me a little bit of "Electric Flower".

Yes!!! You are right. I knew it reminded me of a Melvins song but i couldn't think which. The beginning of the song recalls something else too. Something from TBSM i think.

Near the ending of "My Generation" just before the final melody starts.

Anybody else get a bit of a Nightmare Before Christmas vibe from this?

That said it isn't bad at all but I can't see it fitting on any real Melvins album.

glen

the single most torturous Christmas song ever written now with PUNCH.       nice job MELVINS.

If they'd do a Christmas album, I'd be playing it all month. This song has always been a tad bit creepy but I think the Melvins made it even more creepy. Love it.
