Sorry I'm late, I just spent a week or so in Oslo and I was too full of Gamalost and Negronis to bother with the internet. Love coming back to Oslo - apart from the unnecessary expense you have to deal with when going out, it's a laid back city with a population of only 600,000 and I didn't see one cop the whole time I was there.

The venue is just about the best place to see Melvins, capacity 350 and friendly as fuck, and even though Melvins shows here sell out in about a day, there are always a few tickets on the door for people who couldn't get them on line, which is awesome. The place looks like a big old squat and has a verandah next to the river which is a great place to get a little stoned before the gig. There's also the best Indian restaurant I've been to in Oslo (and I've done them all) about 2 minutes walk away.

The Norwegian fans were going crazy for the merch, there was everything on sale that was on sale in Birmingham plus the Crover LP, and the Oslo show poster is one of the best of the tour imo. Gareth complained that he had to roadie for two bands AND drive them around this tour, but I bet he was loving every minute of it. It was funny that not long after he said that Dale broke a snare skin which gave him a bit of extra work, lol Gareth, if you're reading this.

Redd Kross (or 'Red Cross' if you read the signage  #-o) slayed again, 55 minutes of their catchy garage which went down especially well with the women there who were really getting into it.

Only took about 15 minutes between bands and Melvins gave 75 minutes of their best again. Steven was getting down with the crowd and showing off a lot, and him and Buzz do a great synchronised stomping around to AMAZON which was funny. You'd think with songs like that and The Bit, the crowd would lose their shit from time to time, but Scandinavian crowds aren't like that - what happened when The Bit kicked in was that a lot of people moved their heads in a slightly more severe way, but you'd hardly notice. The beer's too expensive to get seriously drunk so I guess that's what happens when you play to a dry bunch of people. It's great, actually, not going home with bruises.

The one person who was conspicuous by their absence was Alandra who wasn't able to make it. Next time, mate, we missed you!
