Specimen, Dallas, Jacksonville

I know Dallas and Jacksonville are pretty much the same thing in spirit, but is  Specimen sort of the source of these two?  Kind of sounds like it.

You might be right about this, they are similar in terms of the overall tempo and feel. I think with Dallas and Jacksonville they tried to take out any variety within the tune to serve their purpose of revenge. Specimen is one of my all time favorites, especially REALLY FUCKING LOUD on a good stereo. Even Specimen feels more like a jam than a well-honed piece.

Wonder why it didn't make the cut. Only reason I could think of is a noticeable sound quality difference between it and the rest of the Stag songs. Wonder if Buzz ever talked about it in interviews.

I assume it was played live frequently between Stoner Witch and Stag as it appears on Tora Tora Tora, too.

*edit*  If you look at the Tour Archive, it looks like they were playing it during the June/July 1995 tour (with White Zombie and Babes In Toyland)
