hit low CG as a big D powerchord, let ring for a split second while the bass plays this.

don't know the fucked up riff Buzz plays at the intro, however for the screeching guitar just slap your hands on the high frets of the F, A, and D strings to get a dissonant sound out of it. for the verse, the rest of the guitar is (after 2nd line of vocal & fucked riff)

Theres been some awesome live melvins stuff put on youtube recently and ive been watching the with teeth ones constantly to try and figure out the guitar and i think this tab might be what is played on bass not guitar! from what i can see buzz just constantly strums the same chord over and over

and when I do that I tune all the strings down , first the string to D# then the rest like when you tune in standard.
then I tune the E string to C#.

that's called "drop D half step down" tuning.
alot of bands i like use that one, breaking benjamin, nirvana, 10 years, evans blue, strata, 30 seconds to mars, deftones

you mean tune down all your strings down a whole step to standard D, then drop the big string to a C for "dropped D one whole step down" tuning.. lmfao
i just learned what to call it finally, but its more fun to say "drop C".

all the music on POTRE appears to be in this tuning, thank allah, for this happens to be the tuning my Epiphone les paul is always in!

Das ist correct. One Tool song and some songs and Fugazi: Red Medicine. I love a bit of drop A.

Tool has 3 songs in "dropped B" (BADGBE) or (BEDGBE)... but none lower than that.

You mean the one in the wiki? I always felt the main riff in that one isn't all that accurate, but maybe that's just me. I for one play it like that:

Thank you sooo much! I've been playing the wiki tab all week and trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with it. I'll look at your interpretation after I get out of lecture.  :D
