Saw them in Pomona tonight. It was great to see Coady in the Melvins again. Also missed Dale! Now I want double drums Melvins again. They dedicated the set to Dale. It was really sweet!

I really hope that if the worst happens and Dale can't come back as drummer, i hope they kick Steven to the curb and Dale takes over bass duties. Then get some young, unknown drummer who plays similar to Dale to handle the kit responsibilities.

not that they're not great songs.  because they are great songs.   but do you have any idea how many times I've seen MELVINS play these 4 tracks?    lots of times.   that's how many times.  almost as many times as I've seen them play It's Shoved.

I wouldn't say so. At this point they've played those songs to death! Anyone would think they are a new band with only 25 songs to their name! I sometimes wonder if Buzz even realises he has OTHER songs that he has wrote.

 i think it might have a bit to do with Coady filling in for Dale..besides the Bullhead material they probably chose those songs he is more familiar with. speaking in general i can see what you mean btw

and I'd say it comes across like snooty MELVINS fan. like "play the deep tracks!  collossus of destiny!...  charmicarmicat!!" which we all know is NOT going to happen. but a snooty MELVINS fan looks cool name-dropping like that.     and to which one might respond:  "but these tracks are the representative of MELVINS sound and career.   these must be played to any non-fans."   and to that I would say that MELVINS are well beyond that stage.   they are well beyond the "hello, we're MELVINS!" stage.    they are well seated in their core-fan base.   most people at a MELVINS show these days are on about MELVINS show number 15 on average.   so come on!      feed us snoots!!    CHARMICARMICAT!!!!
