I've been playing their albums backwards (last track to first track) recently.

I now see that if the second half was more like the first half it would probably be another "Bullhead." Kudos to Melvins!

It just seems like it was thrown together; not much thought put into it.  Plus, "Going Blind' has to be my least favorite Melvins song - ever.  I don't know what it is, I just can't get into that album.  It's the only one I don't care for.  What do you think?

pottyfuck

i think its better than stoner witch, alot better.
i really like alot of that album... but some songs arent that great.

Galvano

This is actually one of my fave melvins records.

I belive the idea was for Kurt Cobain to produce the thing, but Dale and Buzz ended up doing most of it alone.

"Going blind" is not a melvins song, it's written by Gene simmons I belive.

Hooch and Night goat is two of their best songs if you ask me.
I give it 2 thumbs up.

lord of heaviness

I personally think it's one of their best albums. That album was kind of the end of their straight up heavy metal sound. After that, they started getting more experimental with their work. I kind of wish they would get back to writing that heavy as hell, straight forward rock shit (ex. Gluey Porch Treatments.)
What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?
