cool, i havent recieved it yet but in 2 weeks ill have it....cant wait!
the only song i heard was mombius hibachi..... and that song and music video blew my mind away... is the rest of the album like mombius hibachi?

not quite, its more moody and soundscape style,
there is another heavy song called In the Freaktose
the Bugs are Dying though, and it kicks holy ass!

yeah, you won't be dissapointed it is a weird album.  a few of the songs a really dark and slow (the first one is SUPER slow)
track #8 is, to me, one of the most bizarre melvins songs
the last songs totally rocks out too

It's good, but by no means one of my favorite Melvins releases.
It is my opinion with a good producer kicking them in the ass it would have been better. But they were probably flat broke at the time.

honky is definitively on of MY favourite melvins albums... honky, bullhead,
ozma and hat if i had to pick a few. i just love the atmosphere that is
bound to that album - you can't go wrong with honky i say

btw, yeah i read that they just recorded some random stuff it in a few
hours/days without knowing how the result will be like

I think Honky is one of the top 3 Melvins albums - they just show so much range in this one. It also has their best metal song "In the Freaktose..."  and one of ther best weird songs "Air Breather...". If you expect something like HAT or maggot or stoner witch - you will be sorely disappointed. It has only two "standard" rock song in it.

Honky is a great experimental, bizzare, classic album. Be patient, and let it grow on you.

Listening to it now, man Mark D had the ambient keyboard side of Melvins to himself!!! This record is one of the wildest and most flowing chapters of their whole recorded catalog (so far!).
