Quote from: grachanWell, I'm one of those people who feels that Revolve is the cheesiest, most embarrassing song they've ever put out. I have to either skip it or turn it right down. The Def Leppard vocals are the final insult.

The rest of the LP has its moments but god I hate Revolve - it's cringetastic.

Whatever, man. In any case it's going to be several thousand times better than anything you'll ever write. Sorry, but it's true.

Don't take it so personally. I have nothing against Def Leppard, it's just not the sort of thing I enjoy. No need to apologise.

Reverend Ebeneezer

I've not taken it personally, how can I take it personally when I didn't write the song? And I think I'm factually correct in assuming that Revolve is likely to be vastly superior to any music you've ever created. As for Def Leopard, don't hurl that one back at me in your rubttal since you're the one who made the comparison in the first place.

I never said Def Leppard suck. Relax man...it doesn't matter..

1. How would you know?
2. According to whom?

Personally I love the Stonerwich album, and Revolve is a pretty good song, but far from their best (IMHO).
I don't give two shits about Def Leppard, but it looks to me you ARE taking this a bit too personal, yet you didn't write the song.
While I don't agree with Grachan, he is entitled to share his opinion, as the author of this thread suggested.

Reverend Ebeneezer

Then surely I'm entitled to share mine, Galvy?

And as for criticising his music, don't take it literally, please. You know where I'm going...he just made out that Revolve was completely devoid of any redeeming feature, while at the same time, he's not written and created anything on a par that's registered anywhere. I'll admit it was a bit catty and cruel but, really, to insult Revolve in those terms is to make light of the people who appreciate it.

I like Side B more than side A, but all in all it's a classic

Skweetits   is one brutal opener for a mainstream lp and the low-end thunder defiantly creates a shitstorm oozing from my speakers (as previously mentioned)....speaking of shitstorm; isn't revolve the main basis, but backwards, for that amalgamated maelstrom of electroretardation.  maybe they didn't like it either, that's why they created a mess with it.....oh, wait, they also have a versh of revolve on that album.  i guess buzz and the boys really dig that diddy, as do eye  ....i'll pack up another session with the stoner witch....light up and lay back....

Vcavallo

sousauce, you are comical and you entertain me.  post more often.

Quote from: Reverend EbeneezerStoner Witch is one of their masterpieces. Plus, I thought Hooch was the one that more general rock fans knew...least that's how it seems round these parts...

very true ...

turnacus

Hooch, now theres a boring song.

Is Lori Crover the Stoner Witch?
I know the album Stoner Witch came before she divorced Dale but otherwise I think it fits her. I mean, Acid King and all.
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.
