i recommend getting it - it had some great tunes on it.

buzzo should employ the man again, i say.

His solo release is awesome, in the words of Anaconda "it is the forth installment of the Atlantic years".

He also has a single out. I think it has material other than off the c/d. Does anyone have it? Southern Lord was selling them but they are sold out.

i have that 7 inch -- it's got a non-album track on side two. i've never heard it, though, as my turntable hasn't worked for years.

it's such a shit-e C-d.  no experimentation at all.  i tried to listen to it and just couldn't.  then again, i tried to listen to it coming off of a Run Ra/Residents kick, so anything would sound generic i guess....
i've just never been able to really enjoy it

Odd. I found it to be quite experimental, he uses different effects on each song for vocals, guitar, etc. some songs are droney, others bluesy, others straight-ahead groove, etc. go back with fresh ears vincenzo.

actually, what the bloat meant was that Honky was made for Atlantic, but Buzz was pretty sure they wouldn't accept it. sure enough, they didn't. so the Melvins took it to AmRep. in that sense, it is like the 4th installment of the Atlantic years.

and what I meant was that Mark's solo album is like the long lost 4th Atlantic release because it pursues the song-oriented direction he talked about after Stag which buzz didn't like, ultimately getting Mark turfed from the group.
