speaking of things that are "sposta" be released:    what about the MELVINS remix album?   no, not sieg howdy.         I had heard over a year ago that melvins were releasing an album of remixes of their own songs.   merzbow was rumored to be working on a track.   anyone ever heard any more about this?   maybe this IS the electroretard re-release.

I just read that before the release of "Electroretard" they were going to call it "The Germans".

Guess that explains the artwork, and the thanks to "A.Hilter".

It was from the news section of "Metal Hammer" magazine, i think around early 1999, not sure of the date as I only have a clipping of it, but it was around the time before the release of the Trilogy.

Here's the quote: "We're doing one album for Man's Ruin Records, which is a reworking of some old stuff," says drummer Dale Crover. "We're also doing covers of the Wipers  'Youth Of America' and a song by Throbbing Gristle, which is a major noisefest. The album will probably be called 'The Germans'.

The rest of the piece mentions the upcoming trilogy and Crover's side project, Altamont.

Hmm the TG track didn't make it on to Electroretard. Too bad. A shame they never covered TG's Five Knuckle Shuffle when Kevin was still playing bass.

yeah i just popped in that Aenema CD, which i haven't listened to in like 5 years.  And I must say, it sure sounded boring this time around.

I ordered Electroretard from Tower Records two weeks ago and today the CD arrived. After looking at it for a while (it's a X-mas present so I can't listen to it yet) I noticed that the spine of the case says "MR2002" but in the top of the liner notes from inside the booklet, where it appears a huge Kozik drawing about two kids killing lambs, it says "MR2001". So in which year this CD was released?
