i used to skip the first 2 songs, hung bunny and roman bird dog.

Somehow, I never 'skip' part of songs that are supposed to be listened in once, like Dopesmoker, CoD or Delirium Cordia. I also prefer to listen entire albums instead of single songd.

Uncle Fester

For the longest time I thought hung bunny was just a wall of noise.
Now my ears can clue in and perceive it as a really.....REALLY slow song.
probably The Melvins slowest song to resinate the earths layer.
gung pow.

Pastor Of Muppets

I love this album and the fact that I'm hung like a bunny means I can relate to it on a physical level also.

first 2 times i heard the album i listened to it all the way through.
i think that way now too, especially the next album i got after lysol was delirium cordia.
at that time i think i only had stoner witch, houdini and ozma, so i was used to the less odd melvins albums...if that makes any sense.
but of course you're right, it is best to be listened as one track, the way they intended.

I don't even know when the different parts start and stop.  :?

i wish i knew when each song stopped and started, because i have no idea what Second Coming sounds like or where it is. I seriously only hear 5 songs. Goes straight from Sacrifice to The Ballad Of Dwight Fry, but all sources say Second Coming is between those. Confuses the hell out of me every time.

It's still my favourite Melvins release and one of my favourite albums ever

Check out the original Alice Cooper album Love It To Death, the intro before Ballad is Second Coming. Ballad itself starts pretty much with Buzz singing. It's not exactly like the original version, but it's a nice extra to Ballad. I bought Love It To Death two days back for only 9 euro.

There's more than four sections of the song...

Listen of course! The first one is obvious, then Buzz starts singing about Lysol. Then it is quite clear Sacrifice begin, then the drums of Second Coming start, then you can hear the transistion into Ballad.. and it all ends with With Teeth.
