are the commonly known song titles on lysol made up? i can't find them
anywhere on the album.

i got my original lysol (with "lysol" written on it) for free. bought ozma and
the guy who sold it just gave it to me as a "bonus" - i love the amazon
market-places, way better than ebay. people are just generally more
friendly there, nowadays you get almost everything you want and the
prices are more than fair.

I think the song names are from setlists and stuff :)
it just like the hairway to steven album, no song titles there, just animals crapping and women bending over... hehe

The songtitles were named in Melvins Newsletter #1 (except for 'Second Coming').
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

Yes, doesn't it?
Someday I'll find a scanner and send copies to Brian. Till then I'll keep info like this ALL to myself!

On my version of the cd that I bought when it was released, there was just black tape over the "lysol"-word...

Yippeee! :D Got it off amazon. It'll be my 16th Melvins CD I think.
It's about time I'm getting it. I've never been able to find it in stores. :x It won't arrive for awhile though. :( I'm looking forward to see the booklet, and the whole context of the CD. That's something I always look forward to with the Melvins, because they have the coolest artwork.
feel free to post your lysol thoughts

LouiLoomis

I've posted my Lysol thoughts elsewhere on this board a few times so I'll just say, there's not much to the booklet (inlay) and artwork except "JOE"

fearless1000

From what I remember apart from the front, there isn't much artwork...

Musically its amazing.. its the first melvins I ever heard and it got me hooked right away. With Teeth is possibly the best song of all time

Yeah, I've heard about the JOE thing. That's on the back of the CD?

with teeth is joe's masterpiece in the melvins canon. he was the main writer. also the night goat main riff was attributed to him. lysol is a
good purchase!! lysol has the indian. its like the opposite to prick which
has a cowboy.

psychonaut

I got Lysol (aka s/t) a few months ago for $12.99 (new) at the local indie cd store here.

Acctually, I read an interview with Buzz where he was like "People say to me, my favorite Melvins music is the Lysol era", and he was like "Well thanks, cause I wrote all the songs!"
