I was wondering about this the other week...in fact check down the forum for a topic about it. Where did you find that out, Klump?

is it true the melvins also re-recorded Night Goat on the 'Neither here
nor there' cd so that they could get out of paying joe royalties for the
main riff/bassline in that song.

Reverend Ebeneezer

If they did, they've kept it bloody close to the AmRep single version. Plus, With Teeth's on there, so he'd have made money for that anyway...

You'd certainly like to hope so for Joe's sake.
But I don't think that's the case unfortunately.

Jess

i swear i read that about joe writing with teeth and i'm a relative melvins youngster compared to some of yall so i know someone else had to see this.

or was it all a dream........... .  .   .    .     .      .       .        .         .          .

TosT

i've had dreams like that about music :(

had one a few weeks ago where I dreamt that Bill Waterson wrote a bunch more Calvin & Hobbes books... it was a sad moment when i discovered that it wasn't true.

Joe's presence in the art book is interesting, as the album art is covered...

I have seen some copies where "Lysol" was blacked out but you could still read it if it was on the right angle. This would be the cheapest way of doing it, rather than re-printing the covers.

Mesteren

My vinyl copy of Lysol has the title on the front taped over and the title on the spine painted over. On my CD copy the tape has been removed (with some success) and the the paint on the spine has been somewhat removed (with little success).
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

TOOL

I've been looking for the original Lysol for a while now.  Some places say they have it but it turns out to just be the newer "Melvins" cover.

Anyone know where I could get a copy at a decent price?
There's a lot of things blamed on me that never happened.  But then, there's a lot of things that I did that I never got caught at.

Reverend Ebeneezer

No offence man, but why do you need a copy adorned with the logo so badly? You're getting the same entire experience missing five letters of text. Anyway you'll pay through the nose for one on eBay if you want it...it was repealed way back in 1992...

No, I don't NEED it, and I won't kill myself if I don't have it, but if I could get it at a resonable ($30 tops) price it would be cool.  I have a pretty large collection of CD's & vinyl and some of them are what I consider "collectables".  I just enjoy having that kind of stuff, especially from one of my favorite bands.  I've been into (sometimes obsessed by) music for close to 40 years now.  Music has always been a large part of my life.  I've tried playing guitar but my fingers don't do what my mind wants them to.  I have to admire musicians from the sidelines, which is fine except when music starts to suck, which happens fairly often.  Hairbands?  Frigging Coldplay?  Fleetwood Mac?  Eric Clapton?  Give me a break!

Am I making sense?  I don't want to sound like an idiot.
