Apologies if this is has already been discussed, but I post sporadically and hardly get a chance to backtrack threads... but is there any word on Kevin's fate with Tomahawk?

i'm assumming he's still in since we heard nothing from Ipecac, and since Buzz and Dale aren't even in that band.

There's 'rumours' that he was kicked out of Tomahawk first,
and THEN out of Melvins second. Patton being the one who
'kicked him out' because he wouldn't adhere to a 'stay clean'
(at least on stage) policy. They are still unsubstantiated (yet)

It came from a European web journalist who was at a Tomahawk
show in Oslo, anyways prior to an interview she hears Mike and Kevin
in the dressing room thru the door arguing about it and supposedly
Kevin says to Patton 'fuck it, i won't fucking sign it!' but she's just
a web journalist and who knows if that ws what lead up to his 'firing'

Perhaps, but when Patton's paying you the most money you ever got,
you tend to get a case of the old supplicant spine crumple. same with
buzz, he's like 'shit man this fantomas coin is good, if mike doesnt
like him, neither do i' kinda thing. can't piss off the gravy train, kevins' a
thing of the past in a nanosecond

Kevin Rutmanis was a founding member and bassist for The Cows. He also is a former bass guitar player for The Melvins and Tomahawk. He was kicked out of the Melvins by Dale Crover, allegedly for drug use.

Maybe the "fuck it, I won't fucking sign it!" deal was like a drug-free Prom Promise.

Mike Patton's a busy guy and John Stanier is in Battles full time.

I've gotten some information in a PM by one of our board correspondents.
No mention of Kevin's involvement or not.

this is obviously bullshit, as tomahawk hasnt played in oslo since the beginning of 2002. they played at the quart festival in 2003, but thats in another city, and.. yeah, its two years ago, so i don't think them arguing in 2002 would be the reason for kicking him out.

and about the buzz doing everything patton wants thing.. maybe hes just in LUUUV.
