I don't think buzz could go wrong, as much as I hate to admit to thinking someone's artistic output is infalible but I think I have to bite the bullet on that one, having heard and enjoyed every last drop of melvins I could chew on.  Even Fantomas is killer and thats fronted by mike patton, having a good band with mike patton is quite a feat (in my humble opinion).  As far as the solo albums go I think that Joe's is the better of the three and dales is the weakest (which is not to say it bites) but I think it's done tastefully bad on purpose (cause peter cris' was real bad, like biting aluminum).

Anyway, I strongly disagree with the notion that the Melvins are perfect, also. Like somebody said, there's rough and there's smooth in all their stuff. Heck, even when they were close to perfection they had a few letdowns (see Houdini) in the middle.

Hehe you might well be right there! The Peter Criss songs i downloaded were awful! Dale's is a bit too textbook grungey for me these days although it probably sounded relatively decent back then. Joe's sounded the best to me although i've only heard it a few times so far. Hands first flower kicks.
