i got this book/cd 2 weeks ago, it's simply amazing.
i have really really bad vision, so i still haven't read all the small print.
if anyone can shed light on any hidden meanings or interesting facts in pictures, artwork, artists, writings, it'd be awesome to know.

heh, the quotes alway make me laugh, especially buzzo's.
my favorite is his quote saying he can't tell the different between a feminist or a woman acting like a bitch.
simple and genious.

and what do you think about the book?

although I have MOUNDS of respect for the guy, sometimes I think Buzz suffers from ADD.
ever notice how Buzz authored liner notes are all over the place?   same with his writings in Here nor There. 
there is very little focus.  he just jots down a series of thoughts without any major theme or point at the end.   check out the liner notes on Mangled Demo's for example. Buzz goes off on various tangents about this sitaution and that situation and never brings it all back to a point or summary.
maybe he DOES have ADD and this adds to his song writing skills and artistic ability.
I guess I am in no position to start handing out diagnosis' ,    just a thought.

Well, in the beginning of the notes he announces he doesn't remember anything clearly, there's just some vague memories left. And I can see why he doesn't remember much about the recordings, but still knows about the adventures of him and Matt, it makes sense to me. I always enjoy his liner notes. They have an 'uninterested' touch, but are still enjoyable, like that story about Kurt Vanderhoofdt. Or that punk with the Misfits jacket or shirt.

Or maybe his songs don't have a point either and he just writes liner notes the way he makes music. It's all about our interpretation.

I don't see why it's such a big deal that there be a central point throughout the whole thing.  Just take it in viscerally, man.

anyway, I got a copy of this book today and its really awesome.

too bad the book seems like it falling apart....not bound very well.

regardless, this was way cooler than i expected it to be
