I agree, and I stand by my previous comment. 8)

you've got to be nuts. there are no bad melvins songs. although the nirvana cover on the crybaby is never missed. hell, my favorite version of eye flys is on colossus of destiny. the build up for it is amazing!

Eponymous

Quote from: eddiei seen kiss with aerosmith this year and they played god of thunder. it doesn't have the drum solo in it that dale does, did the melvins just put that in their for their version?

No, the drum solo is another element from Kiss - check out the drum solo on Kiss Alive II. (I think it's II)

eddie

hmm..interesting. I'll have to check that out. Thanks Eponymous.

hmm...Prick should have been just a 4 song ep, and i don't care much for 1/3 of Ozma

You suck. Some of those are essential Melvins songs.

To you maybe.

jesus ya negative nellies,  what... where you waiting for somewhere to dump your melvins gripes?  this thread went 3 pages in 24 hours.

how many times do I have to say it?  melvins albums are to be appreciated in their entirety.  not track by track.

Ozma is one of my favorite albums of ANY band. But I realize that most people either really like it or really hate it, so I'm not surprised that some on here can't listen to all of it. I've been blown away by it every time I've heard it for the last 13 years.

Also, I have to disagree with Pure Digital Silence. That is friggin' hilarious, a gem of a joke.

Magic Pig Detective is a great song, IMO. The intro with the pencil sharpener mic'd is fantastic, a bit of drone until the guitar hits a note or three. Plus, it's a great song to lead into the next one (Shevil, I think? Working from memory here guys and gals).
