someone should make a COD mp3 download, I traded my copy for some Rudimentary Peni CDs.
Only Melvins product I've ever traded away in my life as well. Wish I had of kept it in hindsight,
something about the ducks and the artichokes :o

Which ones? For Cacophony, it may have been worth it.

That's my latest RP purchase! And Winamp just finished playing 'We're Gonna Destroy Life the World Gets Higher and Higher'.

It's easily the greatest punk album ever. Too bad Nick Blinko went insane. :(

I personally love hearing all the voices he's able to recreate.

Cacophony is a fine fine album it's true, but where is this remix record?? Judging by this thread it's been at least five years in the making. I hope it hasn't gone the way of Mike & The Melvins.
For your health!

just read the following quote in an interview with greg werckman from ipecac in rock a rolla magazine and hadnt read it anywhere else yet, i think.

"we have, of course, always more melvins stuff. a couple of years ago we asked a bunch of bands to do remixes of melvins records, so there's a remix record coming out this fall."

he also talks about the electroretard reissue, which has been mentioned in another thread, and how he and mike both strongly feel the melvins are one of the greatest rock bands ever. "and i mean ever". he also mentioned he hates COD, he can't stand it.

does anyone remember which bands were asked for the remix album? i only know for sure kawabata of acid mothers temple did one remix and he said the people who had heard it said it was the heaviest one they'd heard.

I know this sounds ridiculous but something about slayer keeps coming to mind.

slayer remixing a melvins song? we're talking remixes here, not covers, right? does slayer even do remixes?

i wonder what kerry king thinks of honey bucket.

now that i think about it, there's probably gonna be a patton remix, that's just an assumption. as well as - just a wild guess - isis. but i'm sure it won't be an ipecac all-star broadcast, as kawabata is part of the gang as well, and i didnt even know he liked the melvins. not that he coudl tell me the name of the track he remixed :)

dijk cheese

interesting...

i think melvins are one of the greatest rock bands (edit: what) ever as well
i say i can't, but i really mean i won't.

dead mike

Ipecac should release a Fatboy Slim re-mix of Eggnog.

That statement should have been in green.
