okay kiddies. deadline time. if you haven't gotten on the list yet you'll have to wait a bit.
I'm heading to the printers today with the first round. looks like about 42 shirts.
can always get more but I'll want to collect a few orders before going back to the printer.
in other words... I'm not asking the printer to start making 1 shirt at a time.

just need a few more $ to cover the cost of printing. hopefully the mail will start rolling in over the weekend and i can get printing paid for and started early next week. just think, some of you may have shirts on your backs before the end of June.

but remember ANYTIME you decide you want a shirt just look me up. I'm the magic man, I make things happen.

okay. just got back from the printer. had to hammer out the finalities of the printing. that was an interesting experience. heres a little clip of how it all went down:

me: "here is a printed picture of what we are looking for."

*laid a 8X11 on the desk for the young man and woman to look at.

jared(the print guy): "the.... melvins...... dot net? what is that?"
me: "its a website"

*the girl takes a minute to look it over with a bewildered look.

jared: "yeah, but what IS it?"
me: "its a band. the melvins."

*a few moments of silence as jared and the girl study the picture.

the girl: "the.... melvins? ........okay."
jared: "why are you making a shirt?"
me: "I guess because we decided we wanted one and I volunteered to coordinate it."

*a few more moments of awkward silence as jared and the girl continue to study the picture.

jared: "the melvins...... thats... cool."
me: "yeah, I'm sending them all over the world, norway, australia, england......"

*the girl continues to look at me like I have monkeys flying out of my ears. jared and the girl exchange looks like they think I am fucking NUTS.

me: (an attempt to break the moment) "so.... can you give me a total on the cost?"

*jared and the girl seem lost in a moment of 'what the hell are we involved in?'. finally jared snaps out of his daze and gets back on to task. the girl spends the rest of the time I am in the store looking at me like I am a serial killer. I think they may have taken my liscence plate as I drove away.

why does the name melvins and a picture of a Fleazy Rider frighten and confuse common folk? why?

"Fleazy Rider" could've been a great heading for this shirt if anyone had thought of it in time.

haven't seen that. I'll check it out. don't see alot of foreign films.

I think its worth noting that mopafeena was the FIRST person to get $ to me via mail and he is the farthest away from me. maybe a little karma for my australian connection.
