 Damn it, I remember reading this thread way back, and I just saw Joe Lally play in Buffalo last week, opening for Antelope who are really good by the way. I was standing 5 feet away from him during Antelope's set,

this has come up before, and i may get lynched for saying it.........

i'd like to hear crover play with les claypool.  it would sicken me if the album was released as "melvins" but i think buzz and dale with les on bass would be quite interesting.  the rhythm section would completely overpower buzz.  the original primus drummer is quite heavy and crover-ish in a sense.  the time i saw them he was back for the tour and the drumming + claypool was really really really good.  i am not a gigantic primus fan but it was one of the best performances i've ever been to.

Even though Les Claypool has released a serious amount of bullshit.

They do put on a good show. Buzz always talks shit about Primus, though, so i doubt he'd do it.

I know it probably won't happen but I would like a studio album with Dunn. Hell, I'm just happy he played on the Houdini Live disc.

To bring on two other bands, compared to Black Dice, Lightning Bolt is a one trick pony as well. They've more conceptualized their music, while Black Dice choosed for - as Lightning Bolt jokingly calls it - intellectualization (you almost have to be an intellectual to spell that word correctly, thanks Google). Me too. He did an excellent job of course, but added nothing special that I would have epected from an extraordinary bass player.
