They are both excellent.  Hard choice, but Lysol just about.

Lysol.

They are both classics to be sure. Eggnog was their response to those who claimed they sold out with Bullhead. It's one of Buzz's favorites, and they modeled The Maggot on it. Antitoxidote never did much for me, but Hog Leg, the grossly underrated Wispy (greatest Buzz scream ever), and Charmicarmicat, perhaps their heaviest single composition. Once described as "The Titanic crashing into the iceburg over and over at slow speed" or something to that affect. Listening to it at loud volume always made me feel like I was slowly being crushed by slow-moving concrete blocks, or that I was swimming in blue molassass. The vocal chants are the secret, more Oi than Oi, and more angry.

Lysol is my favorite Melvins album, and as I have described it elsewhere I don't feel like re-hasing why that is. I would pick Lysol over any other Melvins album. It is the heaviest, most awe-inspiring beautiful piece of music I have ever heard.

I think Lysol is overated.
I think it's kind of funny so many people like Lysol the best out of all the Melvins' relases when half the songs are cover songs.

With that aside it fucking rules still.
but I like Eggnog better

I'm starting to question the originality of the first track....hung bunny is it?
its got a very VERY strong earth 2 influence in it.... Mainly from the song seven angels. And im actually questioning the originality of that same song because the opening and ending riffs just sound like a slayer song, My friend was playing it on his guitar one day and i was like WHATS THAT YOUR PLAYING?!?! getting excited cause i thought hed gotten into Earth but he told me it was slayer.
im guessing this is the impression joe made on them? slowwwwwwwww.

Earth 2 was released about a year later. And the Melvins never had any really complicated riffs I think, you just have to come up with it.
