There was one on ebay recently from a guy on the staff at Gearhead Magazine. He says there were 7 of these test pressings;  I have No.6 of 7. He / Gearhead has the rest...[

The 'Rock Ahead' sleeve contains a 4-track 12-inch promo of HOOCH on Atlantic. Maybe a UK-only promo, I don't know. You can find one from time to time on ebay.co.uk, quite cheap, too (5 pounds-ish).
The C/Average (Claverage?) 7" is on Kill Rock Stars and is the Melvins.
There's one here:

Do you know what tracks are on it?  C Average are a band from Washington so isn't it just tracks by them?
I found it on discogs but there's not much info for it.

I'll get back to you...
It was part of the Kill Rock Stars Mail-Order Singles Club from a while back....

anaconda

Joe Preston was involved with C/Average. Buzz and Dale weren't.

jules

It came with a hand-written sheet with 'featuring the melvins' on it; it certainly isn't buzz singing.
Thanks for clearing that up, Anaconda. Sorry.
Meanwhile here's the Hooch 12" in more detail.

No need to apologize, I just knew from having memorized the Joe Preston wiki page.

C-AVERAGE are not the melvins. only joe preston played on a few tracks at the 7". those songs are also at their first LP. after the second full length "Second Rekoning" the band broke up
C-AVERAGE has been: John Meriahthew - Guitar & Vocals and Bard Baisley - Drums

Cave Rage are a cool band, they do a cover of ZZ Top's Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers on their self titled.
