So, who went????????

The dust is still settling on my brain.................................... Heaviest I have ever seen them by far..................

MacBastard

This show will become legend.

Buzz and Dale and Coady played Sacrifice with Flipper, then Dale drummed Sexbomb Baby. I released a little sexbomb of my own.

It's too early for me to talk about this last weekend at length. I'm in (a) Melvins induced shock

deussoundgarden

Me too.............. I'm still struggling to comprehend it.........

Nosferatu

In my thirty years on this planet we call earth, orbiting an average sun on the outer edge of a spiral arm far.. far... away from galatic center, I can say with out a shadow of a doubt, I have never seen anything quite rock my balls like what went down in the Scala last night.
This is no fan-boy ass licking, I've seen many fine performances, of all kinds of music. But last night the heavens parted, and the universal mind blessed us with perfection!

Myths will be spoken of and religons will be formed....

Sadly I had to leave after A History Of Bad Men to catch the last train home, or more like I was dragged kicking and screaming. Major sin I know, but what songs did I miss.

I first saw the Melvins in 1994 and many times since but I have to say what I witnessed last night was possibly the greatest gig ever!

If the gig had finished after Coady, Dale and Buzz played Sacrifice with Flipper I would have been ecstatic but the fact we were only half way through the show was unbelievable!

I took my mate along who isn't a Melvins fan and he was absolutely blown away.... they are true legends!

I had to leave early too! I started walking to the back when a History of Bad Men was finishing then they started to play revolve and i was like AAARRRGGHH!! so i had to stop and watch that, then leg it to euston station [but i can easly say that was one of the best gigs i have ever been to]
oh yeah does anyone know what songs they played after revolve??

Yo! I went to this. It was the third show in four days for the people who went to ATP. Having had the six hours sleep all weekend I was totally out of it by the time I got to the Scala. Where I was you could barely hear Buzz's guitar for the first half an hour and there were many meatheads who took their shirts off and proceeded to punch me in the mouth! So I loved Big Business and Flipper (with Melvins Sacrifice/a bit of sex bomb) but the repeated blows to the head from aggressive cunts made me enjoy the Melvins a bit less. Admittedly I should have just got out the way but I was really tired and spaced out.

And I met Maarten, Klump and Lunica for about 10 seconds but I was on another planet and had to run and get a train. But at least it happened!

For me the first ATP show will go down as the legendary one. I mean, Flipper followed by Melvins followed by Stooges. It doesn't really get any better than that!
For your health!

Yeah, its way too early to talk about..
I tried in the ATP thread, but it turned out like a maze.
Maybe tomorrow.

I think I need to get some sleep now. I gotta work tomorrow, and I'm tireeeed. I think. Its like I'm in a trance. I had a Melvins overdose, and now theres just a ringing sound left in my ears. But at least I'm as happy as I've ever been. And tired. And intense?

:D :D :D

So Andy, were you the one we met outside?
i don't have a square to spare. can't spare a square.

steveybabes

Wow weeeeeeeeeee what a show.
I also had to leave early - so would love to see a full track listing if anyone can remember it?

I have so far....

The Talking Horse
The Bloated Pope
Civilized Worm
Set Me Straight / DCH
Sky Pup
Let It All Be
Rat Faced Granny

.....Oh hang on, I think I've missed one....well anyway, that's about the time I had to leave. So If anyone can complete their set, I would be joyous.

PORN (the men of) had me in stitches... Dale was hilarious as fat Elvis. I saw Dale before the show - he was telling the truth when he said they'd had takeaway.

klump

there was this guy standing next to me who must have liked me a lot, because he was trying to squeeze himself onto my left shoulder. he was quite persistant but so was I. I started leaning on him after a while, I dont think he liked that, hehe.

then a guy strangled his girlfriend and gave her a wee slap and went off...

strange stuff.

the show was great, its seems like they are really having fun, and are really doing EVERYTHING to make the best show possible.

Yeah I saw he grabbed her pretty violently and aggressively, and then they left. More space! John told me about that whole thing later when we were waiting for the tube, and I had also seen that, but didn't why it happened. John told me the girl was talking to him and the guy was looking over his shoulder constantly to keep an eye on it. So that was why. She should have pushed him off the balcony, it would have fitted into the evening. He would be dead and more fun to us!

Lunica

We could have gotten pictures!
And what a great story that would have been.. :D
