Yup, Hype it is. Coincidentally, I just got this dvd last week. It's pretty good and surprisingly unbiased despite being released by Sub Pop. My girlfriend was never really into the grunge thing when it hit (she was more into NYHC at the time) and despite this still found the movie quite interesting. Don't buy it for the Melvins performance, though, it's about 25% of Night Goat with people speaking over it.

God, those fucks from Sub Pop are so full of themselves. I think the economic growth in the Seattle area is more based on companies like Microsoft (okay, they're technically Redmond) and Starbucks than anything Sub Pop ever did, especially nowadays.
