*When Buzz isn't guest bartending, and Dale isn't spinning records at the Cha Cha Lounge. they've been known to perform music in a band called THE MELVINS (I think they've about 20 or more records out by now). With this in mind, this FRIDAY, JULY 27th, THE MELVINS (with TREVOR DUNN of FANToMAS and Mr. BUNGLE) will be playing at THE TROUBADOUR in Hollywood (California), doing the CDs "LYSOL" and "EGGNOG" in their entirety. I saw Adam Jones and Danny Carey there, but I didn't see Maynard.   Unfortunately there weren't any special appearences on stage during the night.

Don't get me wrong, the show was top fuckin notch!  But I felt so empty afterwards, just like most fans are after a show.  I wanted more, I was expecting more (more than an hr at least) and I felt a little bit let down that the show itself was so short.    That's my only gripe, oh, and the fact that I didn't get to meet BHM too.

Just listened to this show (thanks ninjabachelorparty!)  I'm amazed at how tight they are, for not having played this material in so long.  At least not all of it.  If they did have time to practice it, you know it wasn't much.  It's just a testament to how fucking tight they have and always will be.  I hope they do this material on the tour.  And I will tape it.  Hopefully.

I'll take a pick of the poster before I get it framed. They were also selling some kind of a Melvins plastic bear doll thing that looked pretty awesome but not awesome enough to give them fifty bucks for it.
