If my memory serves this is a track that Buzz/Adam did (there was supposed to be a whole soundtrack) to accompany a comic ... circa 2007? Forget the name of the comic and the artist/writer ... but as I remember it was a Crime Noir kinda deal ... I think the title might have been "The Y Incision" ... tho that might just be some other info leaking thru my noggins' swiss cheeseness ...

I'd like to see Melvins play a live soundtrack to Buzz's favourite film he's always mentioning in interviews. Saw Pere Ubu do it with a 3-D version of It Came From Outer Space a few years back. the band played in the orchestra pit while the film ran. David Thomas added some hilarious remarks here and there. Awesome stuff.

Toronto's CityTV was at one time maybe the best TV station in North America ... super eclectic and adventurous programing all around ... music was a big part of it ... City Limits (overnight 1am-6am music program ... often hit on the up and coming and/or alternative ... The Residents were a staple) and also The New Music which was like a music exposé kinda deal with the same bent ... anyway once in the 90's they did a feature on Yoko Ono at the time Rising came out ... they showed some cool as hell footage of Yoko/IMA with Melvins doing HDYF live (in NYC as I recall) ... I'd LOVE to see more of that ... never seen it floating around the net but WOW! be cool if it was!

On a side note ... CityTV used to show up at all the Toronto gigs back then and pretty much pro-shot entire concerts and then would use it for clips for City Limits and The New Music (or for simulcasts ... video thru CityTV with the sound broadcast through local radio station Q1O7 ... did that w/ a Motorhead show I saw in '82) Man, I'd love to raid those CityTv vaults !!!

That Pere Ubu must've been freakin' outta site Jules! They are such a great live band ... and one I wish I could see more often ... seen 'em twice but have missed a few since, bummers!
