(((O)))

Well apart from the Melvins bits (which were typically great) that video was torture!  ](*,) Am i alone in wishing that the band would start wearing their own clothes on stage instead of the silly costumes? I've always HATED those stupid furry shoulders on Dale and Coady.

I love the crazy costumes.. It's just one of many reasons that the Melvins are cooler and more different than any other band

I kind of agree yet don't forget many other bands also wear crazy costumes of some sort on stage. It isnt anything all that radical.

But the other bands wearing costumes are usually taking themselves way too seriously. Melvins typically are doing the complete opposite, and wearing ridiculous shit just for the absurdity of it and to look weird.

I have always thought of the Melvins aesthetic as being sort of Dada-esque. Not taking anything too seriously (except for the music) - Weird outfits/challenging the audience/absurd press releases/talking their interviewer in circles/bizarre artwork.. When I started to put all these things together and understand how they fucked with everything and everyone while laughing the whole time.. That's when I started to really love this band.

I stumbled upon a Hung Bunny/Roman Dog Bird video from 1992 with Joe Preston. Great quality.
Well. Not great quality. But very watchable. Well filmed.

I'm probably wrong, but this looks like the Capitol Theater in Olympia.  I haven't been in there since 2005 when the Jelvins toured, but it looks close.

That's the Great American Music Hall in SF.

SO from the looks of it, Cody and Dale are using rented drum kits in every city?....can anyone whose attended the res. shows confirm?
"SwingSet you look like a bunch of guys I know in Ireland.  It's a particular  look I can't describe.  A sort of don't fuck with me or I'll kill you look.
I mean all this in the nicest possible way of course"

I'm sure they are.  Who would want to haul two drum kits through the airport?
