The Melvins should totally cover that.

is it just me or is anyone else pissing their pants in anticipation of the setlist for this tour?

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly dissapointed if it happened to be this setlist:

Melvins set:
With Teeth
Let it All Be
History of Drunks (in double time)
Hog Leg
History of Bad Men
Lovely Butterfly
Lizzie
Civilized Worm
Oven
Set Me Straight
DCH
Sky Pup
Second Coming
Ballod of Dwight Fry (full version, even had Dale doing the "I gotta get outta here!" part briefly)
Night Goat

besides a few choice selections (oven, hog leg, with teeth, etc.) its damn near identical to the last tour.
they could dump Set Me Straight, Sky Pup, Lizzie, Let it All Be and add something from HAT and a couple more from the Ozma/GPT era.

I'm just hoping for some Black Stooges and some Little Judas Chongo. Everything else
is just gravy.

yeah man.  the problem is black stooges requires slide bass to be played properly.

and we got no more slide bass.  :(

well, let us see...from what they have been doing until now, i figure them to play at least the following:

would love to see as the opener while adding the melvins (but prbly not)
lovely butterfly (figure they will mix up the changing of the bands song)
talking horse (it is the "single")
bloated pope (fits really good after TH)
lizzy (perhaps)
civilized worm (could do w/o, but they seem to like playing it quite a bit)
suicide in progress (new song that was not played on the US tour last time)
sky pup (blah)
let it all be (as much as i am tired of hearing this, i can't imagine them not doing it)
2-3 shorter songs from aSA here
a history of bad men (one of the best songs from aSA)
the mechanical bride (another one they didn't play on the US tour last time - good chance we will get it this time)
night goat (to replace the bit or, if we are lucky, we get both)
ballad of dwight fry (again, not played on last US tour)

now, that makes for a bit of a short setlist but are songs i feel sure they will play.  i am hoping they drop a quite a few of the aSA tunes from this leg.  with it being just BB and The Melvins, i hope they put on a longer set than ~70mins and go for the 90 min mark, which would put BB at about 2hr 15min for stage time (quite a bit to do night after night).

additions that i would prefer to see:

joan of arc
at the stake
blessened
the bloat
#2 pencil
hag me
youth of america
at a crawl
june bug
but, above all others....
Manky

peace,
ts
