Melvins gig posters get their own topic

My girlfriend got me this after we had gone out for 6 months.  It's great because I love the Melvins, Jay Ryan (the printer), and I screen print myself!

I have it framed (in purple) hanging above my bed.

It would be tight if I made posters for the Melvins, but there are so many shops in Austin.  I'm seeing them on October 17 and thought a funny poster would be a fat, grubby toad with a Buzz-fro.  And just to shamelessly promote myself... www.myspace.com/kyles_art

Did she get it at the show?  I saw it on e-bay recently going for three times as much as what it costed at the show.

I have to say, I'm most impressed so far with the Seattle and Portland posters.  Though the Detroit and Brooklyn are pretty damn cool too.

I feel it should be made known that Ron Liberti probably didn't use Photoshop. It's not his modus operandi. He is an old school collage artist and he works with scissors, tape and a photocopier. See on there where it looks like tape marks...thats not some cheesy effect to simulate tape...that's tape.

So including that in 'the bad trend of photoshop posters' is pretty funny.
