don't get me wrong. the mums is cool with letting me sneak away for a MELVINS excursion.   she understands the magnitude of that in my life.      but I just got back from leaving her all alone for an entire weekend with a fussy baby to see the melvins.  if I asked to take off again she'd say "go ahead!  have your fun."  but she would actually mean:  "go ahead! and once your gone I'll lay about 47 pounds of guilt on your ass and make your life miserable when you get home."

and theres also the issue of being away from my daughter.  that is alot tougher than one might think. 
I miss that little nipper horribly after about 24 hours.
