i hate to be a bummer but i'm not a total lover of ASA
i liked it a lot when it came out, but i don't play it nearly as much as i play other melvins albums
i consider it a collaboration, not a whole melvins album
i really really really miss buzzo's vocals...
jared is good, but he's no buzz
and i miss buzzo's lyrics
ever since BB joined, they've taken over, and whatever buzz or dale don't want to do, it seems, BB will.
i also miss hearing their sludgyness that dale hammers down
with coady in the band their new stuff is faster, which isn't bad, but it just isn't my favorite melvins.
i like to know i'm hearing buzz on vocals and guitar, and know that dale is the one doing a certain beat.
i just want my old melvins back, they don't write the same (i'm not hating change, i just wish the change was in music and not players)
with all that said, i do like the album, but it's not my favorite.

i don't put the jello stuff in the list because it's jello and the melvins
if it were called melbigs, this would be different.

i'm going to have to go with the jello biafra collabs. separately they are awesome, but there is just something that doesn't sit well with me when you have the melvins combined with 80's political punk lyrics and song names like "islamic bomb". it just gives that feeling like something is wrong.

i hate the live album with fantomas, when Patton starts singing makes me want to throw the stereo out of my window

(((O)))

That FantomasMelvins one has terrible sound too. Wasn't it a board mix or something?

Although not absolutely terrible, for me its a toss up between Colossus or Prick.

Leroy

Yeah Prick was entertaining, but COD was awful.  I don't like harsh/random noise. Sorry.

I know I'm in the minority, but I love Millenium Monsterwork. The sound is not A++, but it's decent enough. Patton's tourette's-style screaming is great.

I can't think of anything that I dislike, but the last two studio albums should have been longer.  That and the last few singles they released like the Isis split and that other 12" w/ NWB remixes have been unimportant and cash grabs at severe collector nerds.

Do you all that say the COD is your least favorite not take into consideration that COD contains one of the most crushing live versions of Eye Flys they have ever put to tape?

Prick is good too and has the track Larry on it. It's a great jam.

Anal Satan, Black Betty and most of the Crybaby album are my least favorite things they have done.

I've been waiting for someone to say Chicken Switch so I don't have to.

My ears think Colossus is one of the best things they've done.

Hell yes! I love COD.
My least favourite might be The Crybaby.

Jules, Erichka you pair are this close // <---(the distance between these two points) to getting kicked off here for good with opinions like that. Now apologise ASAP!  :)

I can listen to Colossus at times but generally i find it far less favourable than anything else that says Melvins on the outer container.
