I made a muhspace page for all the songs that have been contributed to the Melvins Tribute, by the members of this board.

I'm awaiting permission from more people to post their songs, so it's pretty small right now.

If you want to be added as a friend, you know what to do.  I want to keep it among us right now.  It's just a way to hear everyones songs without having to download them. Unless you all think otherwise.  Should I let it be public?  I  was just thinking for now, it's a good way to hear the songs that may be put on a cd.  If not, then we have a nice forum for our covers.

It's cheap and easy right now, but I'll work on it more over the weekend, as I get more songs and permission from people.

What I need to do now is figure out how to put up more than the four songs.  I know there is a way on a personal muhspace, but as far as bands, not so sure.  I either get something for more than 4 songs, or I change them out every few days.

Upload my cover of History of Bad Men if you want.  I thought for the past 6 months or so myspace let bands upload six songs.

There is a way to upload songs and create a playlist on your myspace.  It's been awhile since I've done it so I can't remember how to do it.

I think I'm going to take the privacy off of it.  I don't see any reason for it, and I'm not sure why I made it that way.

Very cool Idlehanz  ... just in the process of digesting it as I write this ... great idea, until or in lue of an actual cd. A nice tribute to all our fave from the community. A a good way to keep it continuous & growing ... So far really diggin' these versions too ... so far, I like what I'm hearin' ... not carbon copies ... cool as hell!

You can, just bypass the dinky my space player w/ your own player. I donno know if it works on a band page thou ... but on a personal page yeah ... I had over an hour of music on my page ... if ya know how to do some simple html (I'm clueless w/ computers an' I figured it just fine). It's a little work but its infinate in what ya can play ... go here I learned how to do it from this website:

Seems they now also have directions for a Flash player too ...
