As you may or may not already know this site was originally from Gene's Melvins Site, I've just taken it upon his request, reorganized it and I'll be adding more Mp3's as the years progress. Thanks for checking it out. And thanks again to Gene, who is the one who compiled all of these mp3's in the first place.

Thanks to you Melvins mp3s have many homes! A while ago gene and I asked for help hosting the mp3's due to the cost of bandwidth those that helped with the payments are, Justin Foldesh (Chandler, AZ), Blaine Oberhardt (Atlanta, GA), Brandon Gillenwater (Johnson City, TN), and Konrad Brzeziwski (Edmonton, AB, CANADA). Released on amphetamine reptile records to go along with the two shows they played at Grumpy's in late September of 2000. It's a Halo Of Flies cover. Only 200 pressed, very rare..(rumor has it, it's actually a different version that was recorded by Halo Of Flies and the melvins didn't even have a hand in the song.

"7th 7" MELVINS/PLAINFIELD -- Live Bootleg COWBOY/HILLBILLY Ten and a half minutes per side pure onslaught of live emo hillbilly rock.You have to forgive the MELVINS for this one could be their gateway to a new world of cowboy fashion . we have no ideal where this one came from! Plainfield went on tour with the MELVINS, and ham this little billy goat of a record showed up at our p.o. box. we only got 15 of these,so there 10 bucks apiece and some tanning salt."

This 10" was released back in 1996 on Mansruin Records, also included were Bar X The Rocking M, and Tipping the Lion B which is an alternate version of Tipping the Lion, Both Interstellar Overdrive and Tipping the Lion B were later released on Electroretard in 2001 Mark D Plays Bass on this one.

Regarding the book titled VENUS IN FURS by LEOPOLD VON SACHER-MASOCH VON LEMBERG. If you ever wondered where the word MASOCHISM came from, here's your answer (from the front inside cover)..."MASOCHISM" is derived from the name of our author, Sacher-Masoch, and VENUS IN FURS is the classic novel that describes this strange and morbid sexual manifestation of love. Those interested in abnormal psychology will know this as a "must" book that has been long out of print and unavailable in English. But even the most casual reader cannot avoid being at once fascinated and repelled by the graphic descriptions of morbid yearnings never satisfied despite beatings, humiliations and tortures to soul and body. The first time it was printed in it's original form was 1886.
