i saw a news thing somewhere around the time (a)sa came out, because i remember thinking it would be (a)sa stuff, but later heard something that made it seem like it was older. i searched today and couldn't find anything.

I know this sounds ridiculous but something about slayer keeps coming to mind.

slayer remixing a melvins song? we're talking remixes here, not covers, right? does slayer even do remixes?

nah. it was like tom araya err something.  or maybe that was an entirely different thing. either way...  do you think kev will get a piece of anything with his material?  joe?  mark D?

Probably not.

I hope Isis and Boris are involved.

Wow, I hope not.

sometimes I wonder why MELVINS associate with ISIS other than the label connection.

I care mainly for the Acid Mothers Melvins remix.

Does sound interesting.

just read the following quote in an interview with greg werckman from ipecac ... he also mentioned he hates COD, he can't stand it.

That's the mark of a kick ass record label when they're willing to let the band do literally anything they want to the extent they'll release records they hate.  I'm willing to bet Patton likes that album a lot more than Werckman does though.

BTW someone was dissing the artichokes and ducks... wtf?  Those are the best part!  Well okay maybe Eye Flys at the end of the record is the best part, but other than that...

what's the general consensus on cod in this forum?   good or bad?   i absolutely love it and think its brilliant.  i've talked to people who think its a joke by the melvins, but i think that's totally wrong.

COD is your rite of passage.

I'm not saying I listen to it at any consistant pace.  but I do dig it out now and again.  no man can deny the version of eye flys that wraps this album up.  no man.

its a good joke. :P

Which is a true art.

The good thing about a bad joke is that it's still called a joke, but the bad thing about a good joke, is that it's still called a joke.
