I used to work in a printing bindery....fuck man...just be sure to know this box set was definetly produced and printed, very late at night, in some dirty old shit-hole factory...for slave wages...and long hours of borin mind numbing printing...I used to get bleach and chlorine sweat burning my eyes and face from the paper dust...but I can tell you...it will probly be worth half a grand!

I'll bet it will look absolutely one of a kind and incrdible.

the printing business gave me a real appreciation for things like this, or the book...etc...I used to print lots of cd liners..fucking stitching machine ALWAYS fucking jammed #$%!$)($^(!)$^!)$* {$*) *(!$)*%!#$*~@)$(~$^) *!^%)*#%{!)$....that was my life as I knew it for the last 4 fucking years.

chainsmoking...listening to melvins all night, alone in a dirty 100 year old layer of dirt, grim, dust...ink...heidleberg and muller presses...getting my lungs full of that sticky glue from the perfect binder...the Vietnamese girls all laughing at you in vietnamease...

the way I see it, I will find the place they were printed at, and just pull all the extra stuff out of the dumpster naturally...a LOT gets wasted.

they don't call me dumpster D. for nothin' !

theres an art studio with an old 1890's press in my little town...It brings me painful memories of my wasted life.

If theres is any foil pressed stuff on this bad-boy, it is going to hit you hard in the wallet
I always wondered why I never got to run a job for something cool like a melvins book or something, makes me sad...we mostly printed and finished stuff that would find it's way to the nearest trash receptacle before even being looked at...like jesus propoganda type crap or TD bank shit.

WHY GOD WHYYYYY???
the only reason that place was still in business is cuz they didn't go digital...they could print the stuff no one else could do anymore....obsolete crap!
(the highlight from that job was dye-cutter dave cutting his finger off on a REALLY FUCKING old die cutting machine)

Buzz told me that they were printing them themselves.  He said that they were doing it in their spare time and thats why it took so long.  I think Makie might have had a hand in it >

Dumpster D

yeah, I guessed that naturally..they'll probly sign a lot of things too.

tell buzz to watch out for his fingers...those machines have claimed COUNTLESS fingers!!!

garaunteed!

well, I guess he'd still be able to play...most melvins stuff is power chords...unless he lost more than 2 fingers!

I should have put a sighn on it that said "insert penis here"!

hey JZS, you said in the box set cost thread that these CDs have extra tracks. Where did you get this info from? kinda curious they don't mention it in their announcement

http://www.myspace.com/themelvins says:
"A huge limited edition Ipecac box set of everything the Melvins have done with the label as well as stuff you haven't heard at all".
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.
