I was with that guy for a span of three minutes. He handed me a shot glass of whiskey and a can of beer and says, "let's get up to the front" or something to that effect. I literally turn around for a second and he was nowhere to be found...I really did try to find and/or catch up with him but it was just too dark and I was holding two things so things got complicated quick. I took the shot, put the glass down, ventured into the crowd and Sacrifice begun. I saw him very briefly when I was up front much later on in the show but those were the only moments I was knowingly in the presence of the Grim Reaper.

"SwingSet you look like a bunch of guys I know in Ireland.  It's a particular  look I can't describe.  A sort of don't fuck with me or I'll kill you look.
I mean all this in the nicest possible way of course"

last side note- BUZZ  told me MELVINS will be in LA/OC come September  =D>

Thank god!  This tour sounds like it may top the Troubadour show from the A Senile Animal tour.  My inability to travel sucks!  Hopefully they'll be out of box sets by then so I won't even be tempted.

Some pictures of Buzz overseeing the unloading of the merch.

The Casbah is right in the middle of the instrument landing system beams from SAN, like Buttholeman said in a post a while back. Planes get really close to the buildings doing this approach, the hairiest in the USA. Watched some planes land, watched Buzz, and headed to the Waterfront for some beer and food.
