Dios mio, that is insane.  The cd can be found for around 10 to 15 dollars.  Might as well get the reissue anyways.

I just got a pretty much perfect used copy for like $12 shipped from amazon.  I snagged it because I didnt have it, not because it was cheap, but come to think of it you dont see it for sale that often...

I was shuffling the ipod the other day and deserted cities of the heart starts (cream version) playing and I hadn't actually heard it yet.  Its kinda weird when you know a cover 100x better than the original.

In my theory no cover can ever top the original. I do like all Melvins covers because they're often a completely original interpretation of the original - the way you want a cover to be - but yet stays just close enough to the original.

I guess its not that weird, it was just surprising to hear such a different take on the same song when I wasn't expecting it (cause I didn't even know I owned the original).  I do agree the Melvins do a great job of making the covers they do "their own".

which version of  'at a crawl' do you like better?
