Was the C/Z release the Melvins 10 Songs on vinyl called 8 Songs?

Anyone with a copy fill us in.

As far as I know, it wasn't called anything, just like the six song single isn't called anything, and the 10 song CD isn't called anything (officially, anyway). But the vinyl does indeed have 8 songs on it, so I guess the logic behind it works.

Man, I still can't believe how can some of you think/say this isn't as good as their latter stuff.

To me, it's fantastic. Not one bad song, and the songs are in the perfect size for those who suffer from short attention spans (i.e. moi). Not to mention that "Snake appeal" has some of my favorite Melvins basslines ever. Punk as fork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have dreams with a better-produced version of "Over from underground", actually...no shit.

Where are all the people who bought 26 songs? Get rid of your 10 songs copy now!!!!!!!!!!! I'm heavily interested in that.

Mesteren

... and all three releases has the same catalog number. But '6 songs' are different recordings to '8 songs' and '10 songs'.
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

leroy

that must have been really short especially since 10 songs was only like 25 minutes.

leroy

i like "number 2 pencil" and "grinding process" a lot.  don't know why they didn't re-record that for Ozma or GPT.

"six songs" is just a 7", so it's short, but not for a 7". And the versions are good stuff. They were tacked on to the 26 songs re-release.

Yah, 10 songs kicks my teeth in and it feels so good.

i'm not at home right now but i could have sworn it said 10 songs down the spine of the cd, making it pretty official

I love 10 songs too - especially now a limo. I love its production (or lack thereof). It is the first and definitive grunge album (and the only one by the Melvins).
