Last night's show was amazing!  Great mix of old and new, though if I'm not mistaken I've yet to hear the new line-up do anything from the Kevin era.  Am I wrong?

Also, Dale - it's been noticed on this board that he's gotten a bit on the large side, and after last night's show he was leaning on his cymbals and kinda weaving back and forth as if he was going to pass out from exhaustion.  Hope the guy is ok.

It was so great to hear Eye Flies again!  And are the Melvins starting a new tradition of taking a classic-rock song and fucking it up.  Last tour was I Want to Hold Your Hand, this one is My Generation - what's next?

I happen to love their versions of My Generation and Hold Your Hand.  It's all opinions though.

You back home Idle? Check your PM.

Saw Smellis in his usual spot at the Showbox and while we where talking met Like Stee and cool dude named Roger. Bad Ronald showed up with His woman, Saw Idle briefly and met a friend of his. Rhett E's got a new girlfriend. Dudbean stoped to say high.  Also saw a guy from work.

Good to see the Melvins.net family again!

Hey that's me. What a great fuckin show and crowd as well. Still Can't hear a thing.

believe the only things they played from the Kevin era with the new line up is the drum outro of Civilized Worm and The Bloated Pope-Let it all be  on the last tour!
and about Dale,on this tour he's on fire, sometimes i can't believe to my eyes watching his drumming, what an unbelievable musician!(check out the videos from the Portland show on the Videos Thread)...the only problem is for Coady who have to learn quickly his crazy drum parts

PPPS.  Sorry if I disturbed your beauty rest Glen.

oh, NOW I get it.    I just checked my cell voicemail.   I get to the 11th or 12th message and it says "saturday..  12:41am."  and then I hear "DOOM DOOM      DOOM DOOM   DOOM DOOM DEE   DOOM!     DOOM  DOOM!  DOOM DOOM!  DOOM DOOM DEE DOOM!"

the opening bassline to Eye Flys which spunk was so kind to record live as a voicemail to me.

NICE!

The Melvins might have been even better than the last tour. I don't know if it's them or the P.A. at The Showbox, but to my ears there was nothing they did on the album that wasn't replicated (with the obvious improvement of being a live show) perfectly. They're a damn good band. Enough said. Great show all around, except for one asshole by the bar. For those who haven't seen the show yet, wait until you hear Boris. Holy crap, what a way to end a show.

Your Hockey Night In Canada three stars:
1. Coady Willis
2. Boris
3. Coady Willis

P.S. Anyone else see Francis Bean on the corner by the fish market? That was kind of a trip.

i definitely think that they were better this time around.  although that Hell's Kitchen show kicked some serious ass.  i was disappointed with the New Year's show though.  and Francis Bean!  no shit?  even if i went by her i probably wouldn't have recognized...way too drunk.  oh well, good times.

I guess I could be wrong, but I'd actually bet a paycheque that it was her. Of course, she's probably saying the same thing about me on another message board.

you should find that message board and put the moves on her...wait how old is she anyway?
