I agree. Common People is far from my favourite, very far, but it`s instant, and I thought what the heck. I like the oldies best, Separations and His`n`Hers. But, lets carry on, this is a derail!

acid policy

neurosis - a sun that never sets

maybe buzz singing at first then jared for the screaming

The lyrics are banal with purpose, but ok, since this suggestion disturbs you elitist music fascits so much I must replace it with another Pulp-track:

This is hardcore.

Don`t you dare question this, )))(((!
Now that's one i can imagine being a much better fit Melvins wise. Believe it or not despite my Pulp slaggings i used to really quite love the 'Different Class' album when it came out. The best songs on that are all the NONE singles.

Pencil Skirt is one of my favourite songs...

Dumpster D

I think the melvins could cover just about ANYTHING and make it sound awesome.

The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland is one of the best rides ever!  The Melvins could turn this song into a 20 minute sludgy masterpiece!  They have the harmonies for it.

Grim Grinning Ghosts
Is Ian back yet??

Satchel Paige

I've always wanted the melvs to cover The Bob Medely by Roxy Music. That or Virgina Plain.

Another good one would be to bring in Mike to play piano on Zappa's Uncle Remus.
