The show was great (of course).  I don't have an exact set list but it was pretty much all NWB/ASA songs.  They did play Revolve which was awesome.  The place was packed. Big Business is the 2nd greatest band out these days but they need to turn up Toshi's guitar.  This has been my beef every time I've seen them, not enough of his guitar when they're playing out.  Sorry but I'm not one to concentrate on keeping track of a set list.  They did SSB and My Generation.  I'm trying to think of other strays from the last 2 albums.  Maybe they'll come to me tomorrow when I sober up.  I'm just bummed that no one likes to mosh anymore.  It's good exercise!  Pushing IS dancing.

glen

sounds like the same setlist as the last tour.

hey j,  did they happen to close with BORIS?

They closed with Boris...Jared jumped in the crowd for the second half of the song with Flash Light to face...sang the rest of the song like he was possed...embrace members of the audience.  Cody did his Whale Calls with the Konk shell...then buzzo turned his guitar way down and sang  Okie from Muskogee.

Another awesome show, even though it was sponsored by camel. BB played pretty much the same set list as their last time through Chicago (might have been exactly the same), but they were better than ever. The sound was clearer than at the double door.

Highlight of the Melvins for me was Eye Flys with the extended intro. When the main riff started, it was un-fucking-believable.

Did anyone else see that small guy towards the back doing the spastic interpretive dance? It wasn't me, I swear.

What did they have at the merch table?

It was sponsored by Camel??  Really??  That's weird.  I don't really like Reggie's not just because of the location but because it's just way too artificial.  It's basically modelled after, I guess, CBGB or any other old rock club that's been through decades of graffiti and stickers and it's barely 2 years old.  Boo hoo.  One good thing is the floor slants down toward the stage so short kids in back can see the band.  The stage isn't really high so you're right up with the band (which I was ).

I prefer the sound at the Double Door and I definitely preferred the show they played last August.  That night was fucking legendary with the butal storm that raged through Chicago and the roof leaking honey buckets of water.  Honestly out of the 6 times I've seen them (I know that's not much to measure against) last night was probably the worst BUT, that said, it was still way fucking awesome.

I was doing a spastic interpretive dance way up front and sprained my ankle.  =D>  These old farts don't wanna mosh anymore which I think is kinda lame.  It's a rock show dangit.

Oh lord!
There's a lot of things blamed on me that never happened.  But then, there's a lot of things that I did that I never got caught at.

Chief Ten Beers

Did The Smiling Cobra work it's way into the set yet? They really need to start playing that one.

Ack! I gave the wrong impression with my other post; I was just excited to see them play again, I wasn't at the Chicago show.

I will however give a review of the upcoming L.A. shows!

You'll be able to get away with a small digicam. We did when we saw Melt Banana. I'll see if my brother wants to take pics for at least one of the troub shows
