sadly I have not been a Melvins addict that long, so my first show wasn't until 2006 on the Senile Animal tour. First show was at the State Theater in St. Pete, FL 11-2-2006 and then next night at the Social in Orlando in 11-3-2006. I wish I had listened to Melvins when I first heard of them in 1993, but at the time I was far too into '80s thrash to even give them a chance. Still love the thrash but love Melvins even more, sorry for rambling.
What would a woman that fine want in a big, fat, nasty, greasy, fat, stank, bloated, cheesy-backed, 12-sandwich-eatin' bastard?

Turn around mister, and never trust a girl giving her donuts away for free.

being a long time Primus fan i resent that comment. i'm no Lollapalooza jock. whatever the fuck that is? all the Lollapaloser's i knew in high school were not Primus fans at all.

sorry, i was at the show as a primus fan, so i'm not painting all primus fans as jocks. it was post them headlining lollapalooza that year, so it seemed like there was a huge jump in those types coming to see them than before. sorry again, not trying to be a prick...

I had to look thru my pile of ticket stubs, and it looks like the first time seeing them was as an opener for TooL at Red Rocks - 8/13/98 - I was 17.  Wish I was aware of them before.  I missed out on a lot of shows.  Missed a lot too due to being a broke-ass teenager. :(

nah, it's cool. i'm sure they did see an increase in non-normal primus fans(if you can call a primus fan normal) after lollapalooza. i actually didn't see primus until '99 even though i've been a fan since '90. i don't know why it took me so long to see them.

'07, Detroit, the Magic Stick. Ghost Digital was one of the opening acts. I had been listening to them for a while, but that was the first live experience. Seen them twice since.

Don't remember.  A no longer existing club in LA just before Bullhead was released.  Balboa Theatre?  Not Jabberjaw but saw them there again just around Eggnog.

Also saw them at Alligator Lounge.  They did a set of the entre Stoner Witch record.  Always way ahead of the curve, even back then...

I would love to have seen them on anything from H.A.T. back, like on the 2x4 tour in 2000. Or even more recently one of the shows the played with Trevor Dunn where they played all of Lysol and Eggnog

How many have seen Lorax on stage?

that is the era I would most like to have see them during; from Ozma til Lysol(yes I know it's Joe)

July 6th, 1996 @ the Aligator Lounge in Santa Monica, CA. Acid King opened, met Buzz and got my ticket stub signed. Take that Juan!!

We will need a photo to verify this.

Also everyone else needs to produce photographic evidence.

Shit....I think it was around 92 or so.  In Olympia.

I don't have photographic evidence.

2005 Halloween at GAMH with jello...the melvins didn't actually even play their own set so I was kind of teased...went and saw them a week later in Sac. at the Library and slept in my car that night on my way to Tahoe..that was a beautiful, wonderful night..there are pictures of the GAMH show somewhere and the back of my head is in one of them  :P

May '95, Connecticut St. Armory in Buffalo - opening for White Zombie, Rev Horton Heat was on the bill too. Don't remember much of it, except the loudness, Buzz's fro and Mark D's cowboy hat. I was really trashed. I remember it was on a Sunday and I'd been drinking all afternoon at some party prior to the show. Was the last time I got that wasted at a show. I went with some friends, we were all into White Zombie. I lasted about 5 songs for WZ and  actually made it to the  bathroom in the middle of their set to puke. I think I got dragged into barhopping after the gig. Young and stupid I guess.
Years later reading Buzz's interview, calling it the "White Zombie Karaoke Machine" made me laugh my ass off. It all did seem pretty choreographed.

First time I really experienced the Melvins live was the '03 Geek Show at the Agora in Cleveland, w/ Tomahawk & Dalek.

I'm a late bloomer. Trees, Dallas, June 2002. Hostile Ambient Takeover tour. Buzz, Dale and KEVIN were in top form. I bought a t-shirt. My only melvins t-shirt. I'm ashamed to admit it's also the only time (so far) I've seen the melvins.
