You're REALLY getting into the quotes now!
There's a lot of things blamed on me that never happened.  But then, there's a lot of things that I did that I never got caught at.

Yeah, thought I'd join in.
You've stumped me with your one, though. Is it a quote or something someone yelled at you?  :D
I doubt anyone will get mine. I was listening to it the other day and the lyrics jumped out as relevant in the current political situation.

According to Alternative Tentacles newsletter:

And in late September, the long-threatened Jello Biafra with The Melvins full-length, called "Never Breathe What You Can't See," is tentatively scheduled to be released!
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

Ok, mine is from Johnny Rotten, but it certainly could have been yelled at me until a couple of months ago when I finally cut my hair.  As for the "too old", I believe the saying is "if the music's too loud, you're too old".  That doesn't fit me because after I saw the Melvins on 3/12 in Santa Cruz I posted a message about whether they had turned down the volume at their shows.  It just didn't seem as loud as usual.  I could have used a little more volume.  Did anyone else that went to one of those shows think anything along those lines?

As for your quote, I really don't know where it's from but it sounds kind of Springsteenish.  I agree that it's relevant for what we're going through in this country now.  Don't get me wrong, I love this country, but I'm not very proud of being an American right now.

My quote is from the Hoodoo Gurus, an Australian power-pop band. But, if you didn't know the song, the lyrics could be Springsteen.
Were you really at that Sex Pistols gig? Tell me more!

TOOL

Yeah, I was at that last Sex Pistols concert.  The one & only time I went to Winterland.  It was unbelieveably packed!  They had oversold the place & there were press people from all over the world trying to crowd in too.

The Nuns and the Avengers opened and some comic (Beltzer?) got on stage twice between acts and basically just yelled Fuck You at the crowd for a few minutes before being thrown off the stage each time.

People bring up the fact that they couldn't play their instruments or whatever but, regardless, it was the most powerful show I've ever seen and Johnny Rotten was the most amazing and impressive front man.

I have a pretty raw VHS tape of the show (except that it's missing the NO FUN encore) put out by Target Video that I bought from them online about 7 or 8 years ago.  They had lots of other shows too but I don't know if they're still around

Let me know if you find them

I should have asked before but, is there anything in particular you'd like to know about the show?

And yeah, there was spitting & pogoing and the whole thing.  I saw one guy, in a football helmet, charge through the crowd and knock over someone in a wheelchair.  I'm glad I was there but I don't know if I'd do it again.  I passed out twice, due to medications, but I was awake & fairly alert for the Pistols set.  One friend I was with puked on some guy's coat that was laying on the floor behind a seat.  That almost created a problem because the owner of the coat saw him do it.

It was the wildest night of my life.
