I got it on vinyl... I got it a while ago when they toured with jello, i had the chance to get buzz to sign it but i didnt have the balls to go up and talk to him. Hes quite intimidating.

i think thats what set me off actually... was his gigantic head of hair. and knowing that hes done alot of shit in terms of music. Important shit!

Buzz is a nice man. Yeah that's exactly what I thought the first time I met him at a FANTOMAS instore here in Sydney..but he was really appreciative and easygoing when i was talking to him about different melvins stuff..future australian tours, honky etc

The very fact that this thread was resurrected is convincing evidence that Pigs of the Roman Empire is a great, if not misunderstood album and still generates discussion after being out for two years +.

Consider how difficult it is for the Melvins to throw out such a left field album. Pigs is it, it is their most controversial album among us fans.

I thought that was a great album too, it mixed ambient and noise stuff with strongs songs.
I listened to that record over and over when it came out.

I still listen to it quite frequently. I think perhaps it got a bit sidelined when the Jello albums and tours happened.

listening to pigs with the lights out right now. I love this album even though I haven't been spinning it lately. It's my first time in a a couple of months.

I still don't know the tracklist on this one. I know some (bloated pope, pigs) but not all. This is the type of album I put on and get lost in. The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.
