I agree COMPLETELY.  One of my favorite basslines ever is Jew Boy Flower Head.  It will blow your head off in a car with a good system and big subs.

His bassline in Missing (originally a Cows song, covered for Electroretard) is also pretty damn epic.

OK - we all know that adam jones (tool) is listed as a member of melvins in the booklet to POTRE, but he obviously doesn't play guitar side by side with buzz every every second of the album.
i have concluded that Toadi Acceleratio is all adam, no buzz.
also adam clearly plays the lead guitar at the end of Pink Bat.
anyway, my question is, on the 20+ minute title track, there are 2 main guitar parts.
i believe that one of them is played by buzz, and the other is played by adam, so which one is which?

IMO, adam plays on the first guitar riff, (then there's like 7 minutes of lustmord) and then buzz plays the 2nd guitar riff.
anyone else have any ideas about this epic masterpiece?

I agree.  Plus I think the trilogy was largely written before Kevin was in the band.  I remember reading an interview with him where he said Buzz had given him a demo of The Bootlicker when he asked him to join...  I think the slide bass on HAT is definitely Kevin's finest moment with the Melvins, and one of the Melvins' finest moments period.  The end of Anti-Vermin Seed always leaves me wanting more.  I love songs that are at their heaviest right at the end.  Forty Six & 2 is like that too.

Buzzo did say you would be surprised what it lustmord and what is the melvins.
So thats 2nd guitar could be lustmord and the noise could be adam?
