You are so right there. I can even hear the bass in A Growing Disgust too. Previously i couldn't hear a thing on that one.

Hey in the CD booklet do you think the big KBO in the art stands for King Buzz O?

Or King Buzz Osborne? Nah, that's dumb. What confuses me is "das crova" and "never done"

Yes same here. I take it refers to, (or is meant to mislead us) to Crover and Dunn.

norecess

it really says "never done"?

I kind of wonder if the Never Done thing is a little bit of a joke about that shirt that Kevin used to wear that said a "woman's work is Trevor Dunn"  that shirt was funny shit.  KBO for sure is a referrence to the King.  Das Crova...why not?  Never done could also be a referring to the fact that Dale and Buzz continue to evolve and push on, this time with Trevor Dunn.

That was what I figured.

I know I am going to get reamed for this, but I do not get how everyone like the newer melvins stuff...they really lost me after Stoner Witch. Just seems like the Amrep stuff after Houdini was just awful..Prick is ok, but hated Stag..awful sold very quickly and I was a die hard fan then and Snivlem was pretty bad also. I just really prefer thier sludgy Boner records stuff, I like how they are trying new things but I find so much of so hard to listen to.I am going to see if the one one shows up on vinyl and then maybe buy it. I have heards parts of the new one, just seems too over produced and I hate to talk bad because I talked to them years ago at a show for Acid King and Altamont and they are really nice guys and Dale was such a cool person to talk to and they are very creative people.

-I appreciate that the band continues to evolve/change/experiment, and take chances. That's why they have been around for 30 years and are still relevant. That's why they are my favorite band, they can and will play any style of music and they will do something creative and challenging with it.

-I love the sludge stuff.. But you can't play the same style forever, you need to move on. At least you can go see them live and hear some of the older songs. Seeing the band do Eggnog live last summer was amazing!.. But so is the new album  Open your mind a bit more, there is a world of great things out there.

Oh... BTW. Stag is Awesome!    Give it another chance
