All Purpose Sand  :D :facepalm:
Ha! That would have been even better if it was the name of the support band.

:cheers:

So...I've been meaning to ask. I'm curious to what the turn-out was like in Anchorage. How many folks do you think showed up???? Really cool you guys got to represent.

I'd guess between 650 to 800 out of 1200 capacity.

cluttered but not packed floor, and 30 up in the balcony (out of just over 100 seats up top)

probably one of the bigger venues for this tour.

Wow, that's more than I would have guessed. Nice work, Alaska!

anaconda

we don't get lots of those strange alterno rocker types;
but when we do, we go see the melvins in the Anchor'!

Bear's Tooth does a really good job of bringing up bands and promoting them...the Melvins missed "First Tap" by one day, the 1st Thu of every month they debut a new beer "flavor" and have a show to celebrate.

the bands are eclectic yet well-known enough to pull the peeps.

been grooving to the audio, and especially latching onto the moments that sound like Clutch (the band)  i.e. the grinding riffage with the shout-vox on top.

I was up front on the left hand side of the stage staring at the curly haired brunette photographers ass for most of the set.

You mean this ass?
